These things work

Let's face it. Wearing these things when you want to play a wind instrument with a band is not fun. I have to be positioned in front of the trumpet section playing FFF, my only choice is hearing damage or altered hearing due to bone conduction. I choose to accept the bone conduction alteration of my sound. HOWEVER I have found that wearing them constantly allows me to get use to the altered hearing. These plugs also let me hear voices as well as softer sounds like the flutes. They are a good compromise.

Very useful!!!

Really good gear. I'm very sensible to sounds and loud, sudden sounds and these ear plugs are really good to save some hearing and mental health. I use them daily in the city cuz some days I can't stand the sounds that are so loud (passing cars, waiting for bus, inside bus, metro/tramway, ppl passing etc). You can still hear people talking to you (it does need a bit of practice to get 100% of the sentences people say to you) and just deafen the high pitches. To me there's only 2 downsides : 1. It does hurt the ear if you put them on too long, you have to take it on and off. The fact that it's silicon does help though, in my opinion it's why it's a good product.
2. I used the tiny blue metal box given with it to put the ear plugs inside because it's very useful BUT since I used it a lot the thing fell off one day without me realizing it :( so I had to order these again.
Conclusion: if you need a daily accessory to deafen sounds I really recommend it.

Great sound protection

I wore under noise cancelling headphones to Street Outlaws race. I have a damaged eardrum on the left and my doctor wanted me to be extra cautious with extremely loud environments. The races were definitely loud, loud,loud!
